The ‘Art + Ministry’ project has been developed by Elenis Icons for churches and parishes in the UK to use as part of their outreach missions.
It is a combination of simplified icon painting and pastoral ministry to be offered FREE to participants as a one-day workshop, with the costs borne by the host church.
The host church invites individuals from their parish or local community who would benefit the most from such a day and provides a minister, priest or deacon to be available for short individual pastoral chats.
The one-day workshops provide a ‘make and take’ icon painting taster session for groups of up to 12 adults. All the specialist art materials and tuition are provided by Elenis Icons and the day includes a short introductory presentation about icons.
